Urban Resilience resonates with us because we love the cities we live in, yet we see how fragile they can be in the face of environmental disasters, economic inequality, and social unrest. We want to help shape cities that are adaptable and thriving, places that not only withstand crises but become better because of them.

A prime example is New York City’s East Side Coastal Resiliency initiative, which aims to protect neighborhoods from flooding and rising sea levels through advanced infrastructure and weather monitoring systems. This project showcases how the entrepreneurial spirit within both public and private sectors can drive innovative solutions that enhance urban resilience.

However, achieving urban resilience is a complex task. Integrating modern solutions with older infrastructure can be challenging and expensive. Additionally, it is important to ensure these improvements benefit all communities, not just the more affluent ones.
